Disturbed's latest album, Ten Thousand Fists, which features the artwork collaboration of Greg Capullo and Todd McFarlane, debuted in the No. 1 spot on Billboard's Top 200 List -- a major score for the band, and for Todd and Greg as well.

Released September 20, Ten Thousand Fists pummeled the competition by opening with U.S. sales of 239,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan. The Warner Bothers release is Disturbed's third, and their first studio album in three years. The new album's first radio single, "Stricken," has been on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart for nine weeks and currently rests in the top five.

The cover artwork features an army of people from all walks of life, raising their fists in unity, strength and defiance. The band's choice to bring their vision to life was the team of Capullo and McFarlane. The creative duo aimed to produce an image that would stand out in a sea of other CDs, and they captured the album's essence with a powerfully unforgettable image.

In spite of the band's success and the album's swift rise to the top of the charts, the Disturbed guys have their feet on the ground when it comes to civic conscience, and are doing their part to help the victims of hurricanes Katrina and Rita. The band will be special guests at the AmeriQuest Mortgage National Hot Rod Association (NHRA) Nationals, Saturday, October 1st at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois. As guests of the Naylor Racing Pro Stock Team, Disturbed, along with rock station WJJO are co-sponsoring driver Max Naylor for this unique promotion -- his car will be fully wrapped in the Ten Thousand Fists cover art.

"We're very happy to be working with the NHRA and Naylor Racing," said Disturbed front man David Draiman. "Joining these teams to bring together an exciting promotion that benefits disaster relief efforts is something the band and I are proud of."

Knockout Talent has put together a unique contest for one lucky Disturbed fan. During both qualifying runs at 12:15pm and 3:00pm, fans displaying a banner with the words "The NHRA, Disturbed, Naylor Racing, and WJJO rock Chicago!" will be in the running to win a special private meet-and-greet with Disturbed, a photo with the band and the winning banner, Disturbed's new CD, and lunch with the band in the Naylor Racing pit. Upon completion of all Pro Stock Car qualifying, fans are asked to come down to the Naylor Racing pit with their banners, where the members of Disturbed, WJJO, Naylor Racing and Knockout Talent will announce a winner. This contest is for Saturday Oct. 1st only.

And here's another chance to own a piece of Disturbed history. In the wake of the twin hurricane disasters, and on behalf of Disturbed, Reprise/Warner Bros Records, Naylor Racing, WJJO, and Knockout Talent, there will be a special eBay event in which the team will auction off a Disturbed Pro Stock racecar front end to benefit disaster relief efforts. One lucky fan will have the opportunity to own a rare piece of racing memorabilia autographed by the band, and will also receive a personalized thank you note and numerous pictures of the event.

The auction is slated to begin on Oct 10th. For information, visit
