McFarlane Toys has a long history with the Fab Four, beginning with the release of the Beatles' Yellow Submarine action figure line in 1999. Our most recent line of Beatles action figures -- released late in 2004 -- is based on the classic Beatles cartoon series. Produced by King Features, the cartoon premiered in the U.S. in 1965; a total of 39 shows were created and aired on ABC over the series' lifespan.

Each episode of The Beatles cartoon show consisted of two 5 1/2-minute segments loosely based on the lyrics to the band's songs. Interspersed throughout the half-hour episodes were sing-alongs and assorted bits. This line of figures from McFarlane Toys was based on the Beatles' animated appearance in that series.

Based on the popularity of that series -- and the demand for more -- we've decided to re-release the line as a deluxe boxed set. It will contain:

John, 7 inches tall, 9 1/4 inches tall on base, articulated at the neck, shoulders and wrists; Ringo, 5 1/4 inches tall seated on drum stool, 8 inches tall on base, articulated at the neck, shoulders and wrists; Paul, 6 3/4 inches tall, 9 inches tall on base, articulated at the neck, shoulders and wrists; and George, 6 3/4 inches tall, 9 inches tall on base, articulated at the neck, shoulders and wrists.

The box includes all four figures, bases that assemble to form a stage diorama and all instruments. As an added bonus, it also includes a figure of the crocodile as seen in the "Not A Second Time" episode.

This item will be available to all retailers in October. Enjoy the photography.
