OK, we understand Vanity Fair is not the average spawn.com user's regular reading material. You may want to pick up a copy of the December issue, though, as it features an extensively researched and beautifully written six-page article on Todd McFarlane by writer Bruce Handy.

The story takes a look at Todd's past, present and future, from his days at Marvel to helping create Image Comics to starting McFarlane Toys when he couldn't find another company willing to give him creative control.

The writer spent quite a bit of time with Todd here in our Tempe office, attending meetings and interviews. He also interviewed many movers and shakers in the toy media and industry. The story goes quite in-depth covering Todd's zeal for details and gives some interesting insight into the creative process that most people never see.

The December issue of Vanity Fair is on store shelves now. Pick one up if you're interested in a unique take on the toy business.
