TODD SPINS ONTO 'SPIDER-MAN' DVD EXTRAS

The spider is out of the bag. Today marks the release of the much-anticipated Spider-Man DVD from Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment, backed up by a $100 million promotional and marketing campaign.
No, spawn.com did not get in on that cash bonanza. However, we're glad to tell you about it because Todd's in on the party, appearing on the DVD Extras that feature innovative interactive elements loaded with never-before-revealed Spider-Man factoids and a first look at comic book-to-film comparisons. The DVD is available in Wide Screen, Full Screen versions and as a Collector's Gift Set. The gift set includes a reprint of Marvel Comics Amazing Fantasy #15 in which Spider-Man was created; an exclusive collectible drawing by former Spider-Man artist John Romita Sr., and current artist John Romita Jr.; a collectible numbered film cel from the movie; and more.
According to our sources, fans should look for Todd on Disk Two. One area is the Spider-Man Comic Book Archives, where some of Todd's work will be shown among legendary artists such as Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, Romita Sr. and Jr., Sal Buscema, Gil Kane, Erik Larsen, Jim Salicrup, Tim Sale, Jeph Loeb and more. An interview with Todd and many of the artists listed above can also be found on the Historical Documentary - Spider-Man: The Mythology of the 21st Century.
And, we're giving spawn.com readers a chance to win Spider-Man on DVD, thanks to Columbia TriStar Home Entertainment.
